In celebration of Black History Month, my office is pleased to recognize the work of Harlem photographers. Join us on Monday, February 29, 2016 for a reception in their honor.

As part of our celebration, we will be screening Through a Lens Darkly: Black Photographers and the Emergence of a People. This award-winning documentary explores the role of photography in shaping the identity, aspirations, and social emergence of African Americans from slavery to the present.
