NYC ALLIANCE TO PRESERVE PUBLIC HOUSING
A recent Daily News editorial is headlined “NYCHA at a Boil”. A lot has been happening that has turned the heat on NYCHA in recent months, on disastrous resident living conditions, management failures, and the like. Significantly, resident leaders have taken the initiative and brought suit against the authority—the “sleeping giant” is stirring and moving forward. And HUD and the Governor are putting more strings on capital funds they provide. Let’s try to make sense of “the boil”, share information and ideas, and think about appropriate advocacy directions and strategies.
Our next ALLIANCE meeting is scheduled for:
Tuesday, April 24th, 2018
3 to 5 pm
At CSS, 633 Third Ave. (nr 41 Street), 10th floor.
RSVP:
Regrets only. (email or phone 212-614-5492) And for security, I’ll need the names of anyone coming representing your organization or office who did not receive this invite directly.
